OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2016.  Nissan today announced two executive changes in its field sales and marketing organization aimed at boosting the company's sales momentum in several key U.S. markets.

Kevin Wagstaff, currently director, Dealer Network Development for Infiniti USA, is named regional vice president, Nissan Midwest Region. Wagstaff will be based in Aurora, Illinois, and he will report to Christian Meunier, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations, Nissan North America and Chairman, Nissan Canada, Inc.

Shawn Mirabal, currently area general manager, Nissan Southeast Region, is named regional vice president, Nissan Northwest Region. He will be based in Seattle, and he will also report to Meunier.

In their new roles, Wagstaff and Mirabal will have responsibility in their respective regions for regional sales and marketing, incentive spending, distribution, dealer network development, financial controls and dealer and customer satisfaction.

Wagstaff and Mirabal replace Bryan Dumais and Josh Batie, respectively, who have left Nissan to pursue outside opportunities.

"With launches of some of Nissan's most popular vehicles, 2016 is an important year in our growth plan," said Meunier. "Kevin and Shawn bring a wealth of sales and marketing experience, including a number of field roles, which will help strengthen Nissan's position in key markets."

In fiscal year 2015, Nissan reached 2 million sales in the U.S., Canada and Mexico for the first time in the company's history, increasing its market share to 9.6 percent. The company has grown its share for eight of the last nine years. In 2016, Nissan is celebrating its "Year of the Truck" with launches of new TITAN, Pathfinder, Armada and Rogue models, as well as other vehicles to be announced soon.
