Nissan Group reports record 2017 Canadian Sales
For March 2018, Nissan Group sold 15,192 units, a decrease of 3.9 per cent. Nissan Division recorded 13,987 units sold, while INFINITI Division sold 1,205 vehicles.
Nissan Division highlights:
- In its second month of sales, the all-new 2018 Nissan LEAF electric vehicle saw its best month of sales ever since 2011 with 423 units sold, three times the volume in March 2017.
- Nissan’s best-selling vehicle in Canada, the Rogue crossover, continues to see strong sales, with 4,616 units sold.
- The Nissan Qashqai compact crossover reinforces its position as the second best-selling model in the Nissan lineup, recording a best month ever with 1,606 vehicles sold.
- The Murano crossover also had a strong month, recording a best March ever with 1,408 units sold, an increase of 9.9 per cent from last year.
- The Armada flagship sport utility vehicle also recorded a best month ever with 256 units sold in March, an increase of 103.2 per cent over 2017.
Nissan Division 2017 fiscal year highlights:
- In fiscal year 2017, Nissan Division set an all-time record in Canada with 134,394 total sales, an increase of 6.6 per cent over its 2016 fiscal year.
- Nissan also set fiscal year sales records for Qashqai, Murano, Armada, Frontier and TITAN.
INFINITI highlights:
- The updated QX80 full-size, luxury sport utility vehicle recorded its best month of sales ever with 147 units sold, up 113.0 per cent year-over-year.
- The refreshed Q50 luxury sedan, driven by the recently launched Signature Edition model, had another strong month of sales as INFINITI’s second best-selling model with 343 units sold, up 37.8 per cent.
INFINITI 2017 fiscal year highlights:
- In fiscal year 2017, INFINITI set an all-time record in Canada with 12,488 units sold, an increase of 3.1 per cent over fiscal year 2016.
- INFINITI set fiscal year sales records for QX30, QX60 and QX80.
