OREANDA-NEWS. The level of localization of production of Mitsubishi cars at the Kaluga plant "PSMA Rus" reached 32.8%, while by the end of 2017 it is planned to reach 36%.

According to the press service of "MMS RUS", at the current time, at the facilities of the plant "PSMA Rus", on one of the production lines, it is carried out a small-assembly (CKD) of the most popular model of the brand - Outlander. As of May of 2017, since the start of production at the plant "PSMA Rus" in 2010, more than 75 thousand cars of the Mitsubishi Outlander models of all generations, starting with the Outlander XL, have been assembled. The production line of the plant "PSMA Rus" includes a paint shop, body shop and assembly workshop.

For the manufacture of the model Mitsubishi Outlander, such components as glass, bumpers, seats, soundproof materials, airbags, cooling system, punching parts, exhaust system, wipers and windshield washer reservoir, tires, steering, lock and ventilation radiator closure of bonnet, fuel and brake pipes, instrument panel are bought at local suppliers in Russia.

"For us, an important task until the end of 2017 is to increase the level of localization to 36%. In general, the car market shows a positive trend in the increase in demand, which is why we are quite positive and we plan to increase the production by 5% by the end of 2017, compared to 2016, " - said General Deputy Director of the plant" PSMA Rus", Inamori Yosia.

In the production process, the main partners, local suppliers are 18 companies located in Kaluga and Kaluga region, Togliatti, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, etc. Partners of the plant "PSMA Rus", providing the basic elements, have a joint production with Japanese, European and American companies.
