OREANDA-NEWS. In 2016, 120 vehicle sets (chassis) were designed and improved in the development unit by order of Finance and Trading Company KAMAZ and Foreign Trade Company KAMAZ.

Due to increasing competition, the model range is being updated much faster. Old versions are gradually going out of use being replaced by new ones. One of the main activities is KAMAZ's cooperation with manufacturers of specialized equipment. According to Danis Valeev, Chief Designer of KAMAZ PTC, over the past year 200 permissions to use chassis in 400 items were registered with 60 companies manufacturing special equipment. "These are vehicles for the oil and gas complex, vans for goods transportation, people carriage, with laboratory equipment," said Valeev. "This list also includes fire trucks, tank trucks, bowsers, dump trucks, and more."
