OREANDA-NEWS KIA Rio remained the best-selling model in Russia in May, by entrusting this title by the results of five months of 2017. In the third quarter of 2017, a new generation of KIA Rio will appear in the Russian market.

As it was noted in the review of the Russian car market in May, the sales of KIA Rio were 8083 vehicles in the last month (+ 7%). LADA Granta is in the second place, whose sales fell by 8% to 7324 cars. The third result was shown by sedan LADA Vesta - 6556 sold cars (+ 75%). The Hyundai Solaris sedan occupies the fourth place of the sales rating - 5802 consumers (-24%) have chosen it. Leadership among the SUV models is kept by the Hyundai Creta crossover, which sold 4203 units.

Sales of the Volkswagen Polo sedan grew by 11% to 3,920 vehicles. Then two crossover follows – Renault Duster (3456 units, -17%) and Toyota RAV4 (3166 units, + 23%). The high LADAXRAY hatchback found 2887 buyers, which is 80% more than the last year. TOP-10 of most popular models in Russia is still closed by Renault Kaptur, which was sold in the number of 2669 units.
