OREANDA-NEWS  According to the results of the first quarter of 2017, KAMAZ's revenue from the sale of products, goods and services was 26.4 billion rubles - by 9.2 billion more than in the same period of the last year. The net profit under RAS in the amount of 34.4 million rubles was received (against the loss of 2.2 billion rubles in the first quarter of 2016), informed the press service of KAMAZ.

It was possible to improve the performance due to the launch of a new generation of KAMAZ vehicles in the market, measures for import substitution of auto components, higher labor productivity, lower costs, and more efficient management of financial resources. "Today, in the face of increasing competition among truck manufacturers, it is important to keep our market position and a course for the development of production and sales of a new range of vehicles," - said the CEO of KAMAZ, Sergey Kogogin.

In 2017 the company plans to allocate almost 20 billion rubles for development. Among the priorities we can see the organization of production of a new family of 6-cylinder in-line engines, construction of a new plant for the production of carcasses of K5 cabins, as well as work on new generation cars and import substitution issues. As for the main production, this year KAMAZ plans to produce 36,000 trucks.

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", by the results of the first quarter of 2017, KAMAZ produced 7286 vehicle kits (+ 37.3%). The sales of KAMAZ trucks with the total weight of 14-40 tons for this period were 6.74 thousand units (+ 29%), including about 5.6 thousand vehicles in the Russian market, for exports - more than 1.1 thousand trucks.
