OREANDA-NEWS. The representatives of KAMAZ (part of Rostec State Corporation) are taking part in the 19th Tehcnical Congress VDA-2017 which is to finish in Berlin today.

The event is organized by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (Verband der Automobilindustrie, VDA) which was created to represent the interests of the manufacturers and suppliers of vehicles and vehicle components. It is VDA that issued a number of standards and guidelines for the automobile industry mandatory for all market players in Europe. 

The main issues discussed by the participants of the VDA technical congress were dedicated to two themes: Environment, Energy and Electric Mobility; Vehicle Safety and Electronics. Speeches were delivered by the heads of the largest enterprises – ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Volkswagen AG, Robert Bosch GmbH, Daimler AG, etc.

According to Evgeny Makarov, Chief Designer of Advanced Vehicles of the Research and Development Center, representing KAMAZ at the forum, there are several reasons why the Russian company is interested in this event. "We have always been following the basic trends in the global automobile industry, and German vehicle producers are as usual at strong positions in the sector," he said. "Therefore we were especially interested in the VDA forum where all latest tendencies are under discussion." All the more so because several companies presented here, for instance, Daimler, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, are KAMAZ's long-term and reliable partners.
