OREANDA-NEWS  The Izhevsk Automobile Plant produced 14,276 cars in January-February of 2017, which is more by 25% than in the same period of the last year. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Udmurtia, the shipments of vehicles for the reporting period grew by 29.2%, reports “Finmarket”.

At the end of 2016, Izhevsk Automobile Plant produced 96.25 thousand cars, which is more by 32% than a year before. Among them, 60,000 were LADA Vesta cars. The company also produces LADA Granta Liftback cars and Nissan models.

In December of the last year, the General Director of the Izhevsk Automobile Plant, Mikhail Ryabov, reported that in 2017 the company expects to keep the production at the level of 2016. As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", in the middle of the year the company will start the production of a new universal LADA Vesta, as well as its off-road version LADA Vesta SW Cross.
