OREANDA-NEWS   Import of cars to Russia fell by 15.2% to 44.7 thousand cars in the first quarter of 2017. According to the Federal Customs Service (FTS) of Russia, in the reporting period, cars were imported to Russia for 1 million 328.6 million dollars. At the same time, 43.2 thousand cars were imported from the far-abroad countries for 1 million 315.1 million dollars, from the CIS countries - 1.5 thousand cars for 13.5 million dollars.

Import of trucks in January-March grew by 47% to 5 thousand cars worth $ 410.5 million. Among them, 4.2 thousand trucks for 195.3 million dollars were delivered from non-CIS countries, the rest 800 vehicles for 215.3 million dollars - from the CIS countries.

The export of cars from Russia for three months of 2017 grew by 9.5% and it was 18.5 thousand units for a total of $ 289.3 million. At the same time, 9.6 thousand cars were sent to non-CIS countries for $ 156.2 million, to CIS countries - 8.9 thousand cars for $ 133.1 million.

Exports of trucks grew by 16% - up to 2.9 thousand cars worth 74.1 million dollars. To the far abroad countries, it was delivered 1,400 trucks for $ 47.4 million, to the CIS countries - 1.5 thousand vehicles for $ 26.7 million.
