OREANDA-NEWS Import of cars to Russia grew by 1.8% to 11.2 thousand vehicles in January. According to the Federal Customs Service (FTS) of Russia, during the reporting period, cars were imported to Russia for a sum of $ 297.8 million. At the same time, 10.7 thousand cars were imported from foreign countries for $ 290.8 million, from the CIS countries - about 500 cars worth $ 7 million.

Imports of trucks grew 2.2 times up to 1,100 cars worth $ 108.4 million in the last month. Among them, about 900 trucks worth $ 37.7 million were shipped from non-CIS countries, the rest 200 vehicles for $ 70.7 million from the CIS countries.

Export of cars from Russia in January grew almost 2.5 times and it was 3.7 thousand units for a total sum of $ 51.9 million. At the same time, 1.5 thousand cars were sent to non-CIS countries for $ 20.8 million, to the CIS countries - 2.1 thousand cars worth $ 31.1 million.

Exports of trucks grew 3.5 times - to about 700 cars worth 17.5 million dollars. To the foreign countries, it was delivered 400 trucks for 11 million dollars, to the CIS countries - 300 vehicles for 6.5 million dollars.
