OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for the month of October 2015 came to about 1,072.692 million m3, almost equal to that in October 2014 (up 0.5% from October 2014).

In the residential sector, volume totaled 185.550 million m3, up 2.4% from October 2014, due to the increase of number of customers.

In the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 176.784 million m3, down 2.9% from October 2014, due to less metering days compared to that in the same period of last year.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 522.578 million m3, up 1.7% from October 2014, leading to the increased demand for power generation.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 187.780 million m3, down 1.5% from October 2014, due to the decreased demand of the other companies.
