OREANDA-NEWS. "GAZ Group" demonstrated a new electric bus to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov. The presentation of the electric bus took place at the Likinsky Bus Plant as part of a solemn ceremony of signing an agreement between the government of Moscow and the government of the Moscow region on cooperation to develop the industrial potential of the region, reported the GAZ Group press service.

The new GAZ electric bus was developed with taking into account the results of the pilot operation, which was carried out in January-July of 2017, and in accordance with Mosgortrans's technical assignment for the delivery of electric buses to Moscow, as well as the general requirements of the capital for the public transport system, which are the most stringent in the country today and meet the requirements of the leading European capitals. There were installed lithium-titanate batteries in GAZ electric bus, which provide ultra-fast charging for 10-18 minutes and give possibility to use the electric bus on city routes of any length.

For the comfort and safety of passengers, the GAZ electric bus is equipped with a dual-zone climate control system, a multiplex control system that allows more than 300 parameters to be remotely monitored (including the technical condition of all machine systems, the air temperature in the passenger compartment, the degree of depreciation of consumables, etc.) and the video surveillance system. Electric bus is designed to carry 85 passengers and has 27 seats with the possibility of attaching a chair for passengers with reduced physical capabilities. Electric bus GAZ is developed on the basis of a low-floor bus of a large class LiAZ-5292.
