Doosan Yonkang Foundation Awards 220 Million Won in Environmental Research Grants
OREANDA-NEWS On Dec. 2, Doosan Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Yong Hyun Park) signed an agreement to provide funds for environmental research projects through its funding program, called the Doosan Yonkang Environment Research Fund, at the Grand Ambassador Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. The foundation granted funds totaling 220 million won (about $188,000) to 15 researchers, including Heeje Kim, professor of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Pusan National University.
Since 1993, the Doosan Yonkang Foundation has offered research grants to research professors in the field of environmental, health and safety (EHS). Through the funding program, it has delivered 2.4 billion won in support to 224 research projects over more than 20 years.
