OREANDA-NEWS. Mazda Motor Rus, which is the official representative of Mazda in the Russian market, announces the recall of 4531 Mazda 5 cars. According to Rosstandart, cars sold from February 2005 to September 2010 are to be recalled.

The reason for recall of these cars is the front passenger airbag switch, installed as an accessory. The side airbag and / or curtain airbag may not work properly in the event of a side collision, if the car configuration parameters have not been updated correctly when the switch is installed.

On Mazda5 cars, it will be carried out a check, if the car has a front passenger airbag switch installed, specialists will update the configuration parameters of the passive safety control unit (SAS) by using special equipment. If the front passenger airbag switch is not installed on the car, repairs are not required.
