OREANDA-NEWS  The Bavarian manufacturer of premium cars intends to sell worldwide more than 100 thousand electric cars in 2017. It was announced at the opening of the BMW dealer center in Nizhny Novgorod by the CEO of BMW Group Russia, Maximilian Kellner.

"This year, our plans include the selling of more than 100 thousand fully electric cars around the world. This is a big figure. Totally for half of a year we sold already more than 50 thousand completely electric cars in the world ", - he noted.

As for similar plans for our country, Dr. Kellner believes that the sale of electric vehicles in Russia is affected by three facts: legislative regulation, low fuel prices and low air temperature. All this, he said, does not contribute to the development of electric transport. Nevertheless, BMW is confident that the development of this market segment will also occur in Russia.
