OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ, which yesterday, April 19th, celebrated the day of the first car assembly, produced almost 29 million cars of more than 40 models for 47 years. The real bestsellers were cars VAZ 2101 (almost 5 million were produced) and VAZ 2106 (more than 4 million were produced), informs the press service of AVTOVAZ. Almost 2,5 million of LADA 4x4 were sold - the first completely own development of AVTOVAZ. This car is in demand today - it is included in the TOP-20 of the Russian car market, it is produced in four modifications, and it is the basis for commercial transport: pick-up trucks, cash machines, transport for heavy off-road.

Today's leaders in sales growth are the new LADA Vesta and LADA XRAY. Sedan Vesta is the third line of the all-Russian sales rating, and the crossover XRAY in the first quarter of 2017 came to the ninth place.

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", 61477 LADA cars were sold in the Russian market in January-March of 2017, which is more by 8% than the figure for the same period of the last year. As a result, LADA's share reached 19.1% compared to 17.8% a year before, according to AEB data.

AVTOVAZ is the largest manufacturer of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, the company's plant in Togliatti is one of the largest car plants in the world, which produces full-cycle cars under four brands (LADA, Renault, Nissan and Datsun).
