OREANDA-NEWS According to the evaluation of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", for 9 months of 2017 in Russia, a little more than 75 thousand new cars, equipped with diesel engines were sold.

This result corresponds to a share of 7.2% of the total volume of the Russian market. Considering the fact that in January-September of 2016 this indicator was 7.7%, it turns out that during the year it decreased by 0.5 percentage points.

As the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted, the decrease in the share of cars with diesel engines is due to the fact that their sales grow much more slowly (+ 2.7%) than the whole market for new cars in the country (+ 10.7%).
