The Nord Stream 2 project is a topic on which Germany is negotiating with Washington, said German government spokesman Steffen Seibert at a briefing in Berlin.

The US sanctions against Nord Stream 2 contractors, introduced in 2019, violated a package deal to continue transporting gas through Ukraine, the executive director of the Nord Stream 2 AG project company said in an interview with the Handelsblatt newspaper.
