Azerbaijan Managed to Bureaucratize e-Government Services
OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2012. Azerbaijan needs to improve and develop more quickly e-government services in line with global developments occurring in this field around the world.
E-government expert Alasgar Mammadli says that despite huge public resources allocated for electronisation of the country, state e-services are organized not at the due level.
"In recent years the country’s government adopted a wide range of standard & legal acts in the field of creation of e-government and services. This is country’s indisputable contribution to the general development, but despite this, the services themselves are still not available in the form, quality, and the level at which they should be. Bureaucracy exists, for example, as a requirement of direct coming to the place of registration for getting e-code, whereas this should be done through the Internet," he emphasized.
In turn, RATI chairman Emin Huseynov pointed out that many of the services provided on e-government portal are not working or are not actual.
"Getting of any references on civil status, education, etc. via the internet is almost impossible," Huseynov said.
