OREANDA-NEWS. May 30, 2012. EURO 2012 is an opportunity for Ukraine to open itself to the world, President Viktor Yanukovych said in an interview with French magazine L’Express.

“EURO 2012 is an opportunity for us to show our country to the whole world,” he said, adding that it will be a festival of football that Ukrainian fans deserve.

The President also said that the preparation of infrastructure for EURO 2012 is a step into the future and investment into future generations. He reminded that modern airports, stadiums, hotels, and more than 2 thousand kilometers of roads were built in preparation for the championship.
