OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2012. A season of road construction for 2012 is opened in Astana, during the season a special attention will be paid to the improvement of road infrastructure in the historic part of the city and adjoined residential areas.

It is planned to build 36.45 km of roads, to carry our repairs of 5.0 km, to reconstruct-24.3 km of roads in Astana, as well as to construct 39.05 km of roads in adjoined residential areas.

A construction of two major streets of the capital Akhan Sery Street and Zhumabayev Street will be started on April 21. In this connection, a vehicular traffic will be closed on Akhan Sery Street from Tlendiev Avenue to Okzhetpes street and on Zhumabayev Street from Obagan to Aynakol streets on April 20 from 22:00 pm.

Developed projects provide a construction of engineering services, widening of the carriageway, additional parking spaces, landscaping, including lighting, landscaping of sidewalks, an arrangement of walkways with installation of new traffic lights, road signs and other technical means for traffic controlling.

The department of traffic police of Astana city recommends to drivers to plan detours and use the following detour schemes of Akhan Sery Street:

- a right turn to Tlendiev Avenue from AFS "Nomad oil" through a local travel in view of one-way traffic;

- in the direction of Tlendiev Street, by Kartalinskaya Street in view of one-way traffic.

Streets on Zhumabayev Street:

-from Ainakol Street-Korday Street- Momyshuly av;

-from Ainakol Street-Mirzoyan Street-Momyshuly av;

-from Ainakol Street-Korday Street-Talgar;

-from Ainakol Street-Mirzoyan Street-Obagan;

During the construction period, all necessary warning and prohibition signs will be installed to inform drivers on the entrances to Akhan Sery and M. Zhumabayev streets.

Routes of urban public transport along Akhan Sery Street will be changed as follows:

- a route number 16 in the direction of Tlendiev av. – Karbyshev Street – Kartaly Street -  on  Tlendiev Avenue and than follow an existing route of movement. In the direction of "the meet processing plant" - a right exit road from Tlendiev Avenue (AFS "Nomad oil") - Kartalinskaya Street- Talapkerskaya Street- Karbyshev Street and than follow an existing route of movement.

-a route №103- Tlendiev Avenue-Beisekova Street-Fakhd ben Abdull Aziz Street-Baiseitova Street and follow an existing route of movement.

Routes of urban public transport along Zhamabayev Street will be changed as follows:

The route №103 will be the same.

-a route №16-Balkantau Street-Korday Street-Obagan Street and than follow an existing route of movement.

Routes №№ 2, 19,31,33,38,46-Balkantau Street-Korday Street-Obagan Street-Zhumabayev Street and than follow an existing route of movement.
