OREANDA-NEWS.  February 10, 2012. Azerbaijan has taken part in NATO conference " Seismic safety in South Caucasus" held in Istanbul.

Seismology Service Center of National Science Academy of Azerbaijan has reported that the conference within which involved discussion of seismic situation and risks observed in South Caucasus region , was held in Kandilli observatory.

At the conference general director of Seismology Service Center Gurban Yetirmishli reached an agreement with Turkish side on exchange of information on earthquakes.

The next conference within NATO project " Seismic safety in South Caucasus " , involving participation of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and the USA, will take place in the second half of 2012 in Baku.
