Azerbaijan Creates Information Base on Demography State
OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2012. The electronic information base on demography state and population’s health is being created in Azerbaijan.
Public Health and Azerbaijan Health Ministry’s Reforms Centre reports that work on creation of information centre will finish by April of the year.
The survey was conducted in Baku, Absheron, Ganja-Gazakh, Sheki-Zagatala, Guba-Khachmaz, Aran, Lenkoran, Nagorno-Garabagh and Mountainous Shirvan economic regions on the basis of census papers for examination of women and household budgets. On the whole the survey was conducted in 9 economic regions on 68 regions. 321 clusters were selected on 9 economic regions from each of which by 24 households were selected (7.704 households in the country on the whole ).
Census papers included characteristics of households, body height of the children up to 5 years old, and women from 15 to 49 years old, as well as information on socio-demographic peculiarities, the women’s parity, postpartum care, child’s health, marital status and so on.
The survey also covered information on level of women employment, AIDS and other diseases spread in sexual way, and other health-related issues.
