OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2011. A conference was held on the morning of Dec.5 by Anhui Provincial Party Committee on poverty alleviating works and arranging implementation of livelihood projects next year. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Baoshun, Secretary of Anhui CPC Provincial Party Committee.

The meeting, passing on the gist of Central's working conference on poverty alleviating, urged that the undertakings of poverty elimination should be combined with initiatives of industrialization, urbanization, and agricultural modernization, as well as key regional development and effort in raising residents' income.

Promoting people's wellbeing was a top priority and it's the fundamental purpose of all the works the government had done, as the meeting pointed out, and livelihood projects had become a major policy platform to improve people's wellbeing.
