OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2011. Already 20,000 hotel rooms have been booked in Azerbaijan for Eurovision week.

US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Matthew Bryza, has said that the US Embassy will help attract U.S. companies to the tourist market of Azerbaijan.

"It will not be linked with international contest Eurovision in a week of its holding, for which 20 000 hotel rooms were reserved in the hotels of Azerbaijan. We’ll try to familiarize American companies engaged in tourism development with investment opportunities in Azerbaijan," he added.

The US diplomat emphasized that several brand-name hotels, including Mariott and Hilton are under construction in Azerbaijan today.

"At present, the Azerbaijani market tourism involves seriously Turkish companies operating practically in all fields of tourism and have quite rich experience," Mr. Bryza said.

The first hotel of international level in Baku was also built in 1995 by American group Hyatt (Pritzker family).
