OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2011. A compact single engine aircraft presented by President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmous Ahmadinejad to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov landed at the International Airport in Ashgabat. The cabinet ministers, officials of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan, the elders and citizens of Ashgabat attended the ceremony of meeting of the new aircraft.

This sign of sincere friendship, mutual respect and understanding between the leaders of Turkmenistan and Iran as well as high dynamics of contemporary interstate relations brought to a qualitatively new level in recent years became also a bright symbol of the commitment of the Turkmen and Iranian peoples to maintaining the age-old traditions of good neighbourliness and brotherhood.

Following the national tradition, the elders performed the ritual of giving blessing to mark the arrival of the new aircraft and offered the prayers for the wellbeing of the leaders of the two friendly states and the prosperity of their friendly nations.
