Japan Studies Belarus Record of Agricultural Production
OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2011. A group of journalists of the NHK-Japan Broadcasting Corp. visited Gomel Oblast to film footage for a documentary about the ongoing activities to overcome the effects of radioactive contamination, BelTA learnt from the press service of the agriculture and food committee of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.
In particular, the guests from Japan visited the Chemerissky and Komarinsky agricultural enterprises in Bragin District to get acquainted with agricultural and agro-chemical practices, which allow the producers to get clean crops and cattle meat. In Khoiniki District they observed the work of the radiometric control service and learned about the milk processing at the Polesie unit of the Molochnye Produtky Dairy.
According to the press service, Kenji Sobata, Correspondent Political at NHK-Japan Broadcasting Corp., head of the film crew, noted that the experience of the Belarusian agrarians as well as everything they have seen in the country have left a good impression on them. The Japanese journalist is confident that the demonstration of the documentary about the Gomel Oblast agricultural practices in Japan that has been recently hit by the nuclear accident will play its positive role.
