OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2010. A delegation of the department of prevention and information programmes of the Regional mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Turkmenistan, who arrived to participate in the International Exhibition and Conference “Education, Science, Sport and Tourism in the Epoch of New Revival”, is on a visit to the Turkmen capital.

The guests were received at the Mejlis where a discussion of priority aspects of further cooperation between Turkmenistan and the International Committee of the Red Cross took place. Focusing on the positive experience in collaboration of the ICRC with our country, the meeting participants called for intensifying the effective dialogue in the context of the constructive policy pursued by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to broaden partnership with the leading international organisations that promoted the progress of the country and achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.

During the visit into Ashgabat the ICRC delegation delivered lectures at the Civil Service Academy under the President of Turkmenistan and the Institute of International relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan. The meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other national ministries and departments were scheduled.
