Russia Withdraws Personnel and Equipment from Aviation Group in Chad
OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2010. On the night of Sunday 14 to Monday 15 November 2010 from the Migalovo airfield near Tver the crew of the Russian Air Force Military Transport Aviation on An-124-100 Ruslan aircraft departed to N'Djamena airfield, Republic of Chad.
This flight was made as part of measures of withdrawing personnel and equipment from its aviation group in Chad, which operates as part of a UN operation in the region.
In total, from 14 November to 14 December 2010 the Military Transport Aviation will make eight flights and transported over 350 tons of cargo, including: Mi-8 helicopter, military automobiles, about a dozen trailers and maintenance equipment weighing about 30 tons.
