OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2010. Vladimir Zhukovsky, a Great Patriotic War veteran, who moved into a new apartment in October 2009, shared his memories of the war and post-war period with President Medvedev.

The President took a look at the apartment Mr Zhukovsky received as part of implementing the presidential executive order of May 7, 2008.

During the conversation Dmitry Medvedev related that he issued an order providing veterans with the right to free travel within Russia during the anniversary celebrations of Victory.

The President gave Vladimir Zhukovsky a TV as a gift, and wished him good health and prosperity.
