OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2010. The European Union is sure of great potential of Azerbaijan in the area of use of alternative energy sources.

At today’s session of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC) Roland Kobia, the head of the European Union mission to Azerbaijan, said that Azerbaijan had potential on development of use of renewable energy sources.

“One can relate to them use of wind and solar energy, development of hydro energy and geothermal energy sources. The EU is ready to render assistance in that,” Mr. Kobia said.

In his turn, CEIBC’s president and CEO Telman Aliyev informed of creation of Club’s media group on alternative energy to release weekly bulleting and carry out other works in the sphere.
