OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2009. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies expects adoption of “Electronic Azerbaijan” program for 2008-2012 till  end of the year.

The ministry informed that the new program can be adopted till  end of the year.

“The issues in the program are at last stage of consideration. Presently, the program was coordinated with many state institutions and at last stage of consideration of the Cabinet of Ministers,” it was informed.

The program will continue the program “Electronic Azerbaijan”, functioned till the end of 2008. The new program will be aimed at realizing in full of ICT sector potential with its bringing to leader position (along with oil and gas sector) in Azerbaijani economics and covers period of 2009-2012.
