OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2009. The construction of new multifunctional sports ground has started in Pogranichnaya Street in Nakhodka. Thanks to the construction of sports ground Nakhodka’s residents will play hockey there in winter and football in summer.

Modern sports ground with cafes, shower rooms, locker rooms and other facilities will have been constructed instead of old skating-rink located in Pogranichnaya Street by New Year’s Day. The construction of this object is being carried out by the company "TRF-United" under the support of local authorities.

Playing field will be 26 meters wide and 56 meters long. It will serve as a field for playing ice-hockey in winter. In spring, playing field will be covered with artificial grass and will serve as football pitch.

In December Contract Company "Roning" has started to install barriers made of crash-proof materials, which were made by special order in China. By the way, the same manufacturer makes barriers for arenas of the National Hockey League.

In 2010 it is planned to install special equipment, which will keep the ice surface cool under temperature of 10 degrees above zero.
