OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2009. Dmitry Medvedev sent his greetings to delegates at the eighth plenary session of the Sino-Russian Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development.

The President’s message said, in part: “The committee has shown itself over the years to be an effective mechanism for promoting fruitful humanitarian dialogue between Russia and China and facilitating direct contact between our peoples. You make an important contribution to giving our relations a broader-based public foundation and strengthening the traditions of friendship, good-neighbourliness and mutually beneficial cooperation.

I am sure that the decisions that come out of this session will help us to successfully implement our bilateral agreements, build up our business ties and cultural and inter-regional exchanges, and expand cooperation between our youth and veterans’ organisations.

I wish you interesting discussions and new successes.”
