OREANDA-NEWS. November 05, 2009. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Public Health launches vaccination of the population against the influenza virus.

Informed sources inform that vaccination will be begun as early as this week.

“Vaccination will be carried out against usual influenza virus strains and not against the swine flue   (A/H1N1),” a source said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Public Health announced that it received vaccines against A/H1N1 in November. Azerbaijan detected five cases of infection with the virus, which did not result in fatalities so far.
