OREANDA-NEWS. November 05, 2009. President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by the Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia Ilia II.

The President expressed satisfaction with the successful development of Azerbaijan-Georgia relations in every sphere. President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of interreligious dialogue, initiated by influential religious figures of the region, stating that it creates great opportunities for mutual understanding, cooperation and establishment of security in the region.

The President emphasized the significance of Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia Ilia II’s participation in the international conference, entitled “Interreligious dialogue: from mutual understanding towards joint cooperation”, to be held in Baku.
