OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2009. III international telecommunications, telemetry, information technology and broadcast equipment exhibition Turkmentel-2009 closed in Ashgabat. Turkmenistan and Global Telecommunications System International scientific conference held within the framework of the exhibition closed a day before. The international forums were organized by the Ministry of Communications, the Academy of Sciences and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

The large-scale exhibition arranged at the largest in Central Asia Exhibition Centre involved the leading companies – the communication manufacturers, distributors and providers from 20 countries worldwide and Turkmen firms, which successfully operated on the Turkmen market in the sphere of information technologies, software support and communication services.

The success of the exposition was conditioned by its large scale and representation of the participants. It was an opportunity for numerous visitors to look into the future of telecommunication sector – a priority and dynamically developing sector of Turkmen economy. Paying much attention to development of this sector the President of Turkmenistan noted that in the age of rapidly developing science and technology it was impossible to imagine our life without telecommunications.

The exposition reflected the whole spectrum of world practices, presented the modern innovation technologies, which were widely used in various sectors of the national economy. The pavilions of the companies providing data management, control and transfer and communication services for the oil and gas sector occupies a special place in the exposition. The other companies exhibited the stationary and moving constraint radio stations for aviation and sea communication. The companies specialized in mobile communication and internet demonstrated their innovations and know-hows. Furthermore, the special-purpose interactive systems for the educational institutions, virtual library and banking sector were presented at the exposition. Innovations are widely used in television and radio broadcasting, information security and biometrical control systems.

The Turkmentel-2009 Expo participants could be divided into two large groups – manufacturers of intellectual products – software support and technologies and producers. Undoubtedly, the major results of this large-scale forum were establishment of long-term partner contacts.

Upon completing the exhibition the diplomas and certificates were awarded to the forum participants during the closing ceremony.
