OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2009. The international conference focused on the science-based approaches to introducing advanced technologies in industry closed in the Turkmen capital. The representative forum held under the patronage of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was an important step to develop the new ways to employ the country’s economic potential through applying the results of the scientific research of Turkmen scientists and achievements of the world scientific thought.

The scientific forum symbolically coincided with a landmark event in the history of the country – the establishment of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan that created the special atmosphere of the conference.

The specialists and scientists of the research centres of Iran, Syria, Uzbekistan, Spain, Ukraine, China, Turkey, Russia, India, Germany, Finland, Pakistan, the United States, Israel, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Great Britain, the Republic of Korea had arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the conference. This forum became an important and significant contribution to developing the humanitarian dialogue and vividly illustrated the implementation of the policy of spiritual revival of the nation, wide and constructive international cooperation standing as an important priority of the policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

More than 160 scientific reports focused on the essential aspects of the introduction of latest technologies in various branches of science and industry were presented and discussed at seven conference sections within two days. Emphasis was put on the interrelation between scientific and technological achievements and the needs of the national economy.

Summing up the conference the participants unanimously called for further intensification of fruitful contacts that promoted the study of the international research practice and strengthen constructive cooperation.
