Ukrainian Tax Legislation Needs Regulation
OREANDA-NEWS On 05 June Deputy Head of Ukrainian State Tax Administration Serhii Lekar announced about a need to include changes to the current tax legislation. He stated during a press conference today.
Serhii Lekar noted certain discrepancies really exist in tax legislation. “There are collisions in different laws or articles within one law, which gives way to variations in interpretation, leads to conflict of interests of the parties so we propose to the Verkhovna Rada to eliminate these contradictions,” he stressed and added the STA, being a partner of business, tries to elaborate respective propositions related to improvement of the current legislation.
Serhii Lekar added in particular that the STA initiates abolishing of 10 kinds of taxes and dues among which are tax on trade, communal tax, touring and tourist dues. According to the deputy head of STA, respective draft laws have been forwarded by the Government to the Parliament: “It is an exceptionally significant step as government has hardly ever submitted such propositions”.
Moreover, Serhii Lekar explained there are also propositions concerning improvement of administration procedures supported by business structures. According to him, there exist some problems with income tax, notably through influence of currency policy, so it is discussed within the society how to stabilize real financial results.
