White City – Ashgabat Exhibition in Turkmen Capital

The priorities and new trends in implementing the urban development programme is the focus of 8th International Universal Exhibition White City – Ashgabat which is opened at the Exhibition Centre in the Turkmen capital. The annual exposition of the achievements and potential of construction industry is organized by Ashgabat Khyakimlik and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
The cabinet ministers, high-ranking officials of the ministries and departments, members of the public organisations, heads of the diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan and journalists took part in the forum opening ceremony. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the welcoming statement to participants and organizers of the 8th International Universal Exhibition White City – Ashgabat. Congratulating participants on opening the prestigious international forum the Turkmen leader said that the ultimate goal of the large-scale work carried on in Ashgabat was to turn the Turkmen capital in the world centre of friendship and cohesion, the pearl of Asia, the city of high culture and modern comfort.
The large-scale construction projects are the centre of the vestigial exposition presented by the Ashgabat Khyakimlik and Ministry of Construction of Turkmenistan in collaboration with the foreign companies. The large-scale models of various types and kinds – office buildings, hotels, sports facilities, which will rise in the near future in Ashgabat were designed by the Turkish partners representing such companies known well on the Turkmen construction market as Polimeks, BELDA, ILK, Bahar, Erku, Sehil.
Having gained the reputation of the large business and cultural centre of the region, worldwide recognized center of international cooperation in recent years the capital of Turkmenistan presents the unique model of a dynamically developing city – the city of future combining beauty and comfort, advanced architectural designs and engineering decisions and age-old traditions of the national art of architecture.
The essential aspect of the urban development policy is the housing programme aimed at guaranteeing comfortable housing meeting the internationals standards to citizens of Turkmenistan. Thousands of families have moved to the housing estates with white-marble high-rise apartment houses, which have risen in Ashgabat in recent years. As is known a few days ago the President of Turkmenistan issued the Resolution to launch a new stage of housing construction in Ashgabat. The Turkmen leader’s decision has attracted attention of foreign partners already. The potential contractors presented the draft designs of new housing estates that provide an integrated approach including developing social and housing infrastructure, improving and planting trees in the adjacent territories.
A separate exposition is dedicated to the high technologies as an integral element of development of a modern megalopolis. Nowadays, innovations and know-how are actively introduced to all spheres of the city – from engineering and household facilities to the social and economic, educational and cultural spheres. In this regard the development of environmentally friendly technologies including the use of the renewable energy sources in hot water supply and heating systems (Romanov Trading House, Russia). Among the exhibits are the latest models of telecommunication systems (Moskovskiy Teleport) and lighting equipment including indoor and outdoor art lighting equipment used for decorative design and illuminate building facades (ZEMM LS, Turkmenistan). The visitors can watch a colourful show. Such lighting innovations are already used for decorative design of the Turkmen capital, which is very beautiful and enchanting in the evenings.
The separate sections present the projects on modernization of urban and railway transport. Yarav and Evro Tech demonstrate new vehicles and road building equipment at the exhibition.
The enterprises affiliated with the Food Industry Association of Turkmenistan and private producers, who have been successfully working in this sector for many years, demonstrate the achievements and prospects in development of food industry. The brands are known well for its high-quality products and of great demand on the domestic market. A wide range of sausages, dairy products, bakery foods and confectionery produced by Hasar, Misgar, Payhas, Bereketli, Oyukly is always on sale at the shopping centres and department stores throughout the country.
The 8th International Universal Exhibition White City – Ashgabat provides an open platform for exchanging experiences, holding business talks and establishing effective contacts.
