OREANDA-NEWS. On March 30, 2009 President Alexander Lukashenko signed an Executive Order allotting Br1.1 billion to the Special Support Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for Gifted School and University Students for the purpose of financing the Fund’s expenditure in the year 2009, reported the Official website president.gov.by.

The President also approved the resolution of the council of the Special Support Fund.

Cash prizes and the Fund’s Laureate lapel badges have been awarded to thirty-two students-winners of international Olympiads and competitions in 2008.

Incentive cash prizes have been awarded to some pedagogical workers and researchers in recognition of their contribution to the development of gifted young students’ aptitudes and capabilities in 2007 and 2008.
