OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2009. The Gomel Oblast Executive Committee has instituted the Man of the Year Award.

The new award will promote creative activities, intellectual potential, innovation ideas and advanced experience. The award will be present in recognition of personal achievements in various areas regardless of profession. The basic criteria are actuality, efficiency, high production performance, professional and moral quality.

The award will be conferred at the year-end a year on competition basis. It will include seven nominations. For instance, the award in the Servicing the Fatherland Nomination is presented to the people working in bodies of government and law-enforcement agencies; the award in Master Nomination to the people from any walks of life who create unique things with their own hands and others.

The names of the winners will be given prize money and will listed in the Gomel Man of the Year Book.
