OREANDA-NEWS. February 19, 2009. The complex of healthcare establishments – the second medical town is under construction in the northern part of Ashgabat. These include the Central Dermatovenerologic Hospital, the Tuberculosis Centre, the Infectious Diseases Centre, the AIDS Centre, the Centralized Laboratory and the Blood Bank.

Construction of the specialized healthcare establishments meeting the modern international standards is dictated by the reform of the national healthcare system, the unceasing care and concern of the Turkmen leader for the welfare and prosperity of the country, the wellbeing and health of the Turkmen people. The construction project is amounted to US\\$ 103 million.

The major goals of the healthcare system include further improvement of the quality of medical services, application of advanced technologies and of diseases treatment and prevention methods.
