OREANDA-NEWS Russian tanks of the future will be equipped with modules that will allow the use of combat vehicles for special tasks. This was told to RIA Novosti by the Uralvagonzavod concern.
"The tanks of the future should be built according to a modular principle, which will increase their adaptability to the conditions of a particular theater of operations," the company said.
In particular, as noted in the concern, it is possible to shorten the cannon of a standard tank and strengthen the hull protection, thereby making it a combat vehicle for urban conditions.
They also added that the tanks of the future can be equipped with new optical systems, standard radar stations, as well as drones launched from the aircraft to combine information into a single information and combat system.
The company also stated that the Russian tanks of the future will receive an increased cannon caliber.
