The Russian Physics for the First Time Measured the Birth of Seven Peonies
OREANDA-NEWS. Scientists of the Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP) of the Siberian office of RAS by means of VEPP-2000 collider for the first time measured the birth of seven elementary particles - peonies, the chief researcher of IYaF Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science Evgeny Solodov told journalists on Monday.
One of the directions of search of physics beyond the scope of Standard model — measurement in an experiment of value of the abnormal magnetic moment of a muon. The size of this parameter consists of the sum of electromagnetic, weak and strong interactions.
The hadron contribution to the abnormal magnetic moment of a muon in the field of energy where the theory works badly, can be taken experimentally from an electron - positron interactions. During one of such experiments on the Russian collider process section an electron - positron annihilation in seven pimezon was for the first time measured.
Physicists already tried to obtain earlier controlled inversion of effect of Hall — for this purpose they used the microstructured chain armor which represented metamaterial, the charge carriers imitating other type. In other work physicists learned to twist magnetic whirlwinds for spintronics.
