OREANDA-NEWS  Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant JSC (SNKHZ), which is managed by Roschem JSC (formerly Russian Hydrogen), has completed research and development work on the development of technology for the production of phenolic antioxidant Agidol-110, the press service of Roschem reports.

The antioxidant is used in the production of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene terephthalate, ABS plastic, polystyrene, thermoplastic elastomers and synthetic rubbers.

"Currently, there are no analogues of Agidol-110 on the domestic market. A similar phenolic antioxidant has not been produced in Russia before, and its analogues were imported from abroad. Due to the sanctions policy, the supply of European-made antioxidants was disrupted (...) Employees of the central factory laboratory of the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant developed the technology and selected technical solutions that made it possible to obtain the phenolic antioxidant Agidol-110, which meets foreign quality standards," the message says.

It is assumed that the release of the antioxidant will create new opportunities for the petrochemical industry market.

The project to develop a new line of antioxidants produced by SNKHZ is included in the action plan of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for import substitution in the chemical industry.

Roschem unites JSC Bashkir Soda Company, JSC Bereznikovsky Soda Plant, a group of enterprises of JSC SNKHZ, JSC Donbiotech, as well as a number of enterprises in the South of Russia.
