OREANDA-NEWS. Over the previous day alone, 7,212 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection have been recorded in the Russian Federation. A similar number was registered in June 2020, the operational headquarters informs.

So, there are over 1 million 136 thousand cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, and the number of deaths is also increasing – now it is 20 thousand and is 20056 people. Over the previous day, 108 people infected with COVID-19 died.

According to the data of the operational headquarters most of coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours have been recorded in St. Petersburg - 224 people. In the second place is the Moscow region with 208 newly-recorded patients, on the third line is the Rostov region with 187 patients infected with coronavirus.

But on the other hand the number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 is also increasing. As the operational headquarters in Russia informs, the number of recovered exceeded 934 thousand, and over the past 24 hours, more than 4 thousand people were discharged from hospitals throughout the country.

The number of people infected with the coronavirus is increasing not only in Russia but throughout the world. For example, a new anti-record for the number of infected with covid-19 over the last 24 hours is recorded in France.
