OREANDA-NEWS Maetani, in a column for the Japanese portal Mainichi Shimbun, said that he received the second dose of the vaccine in March. On June 30, he felt signs of malaise, chills. The next day, his temperature rose to 37 degrees.
The express test, unexpectedly for the journalist, showed a positive result. Maetani noted that vaccines are not 100% effective. Before the illness, he had accumulated fatigue and, perhaps, the immune system was weakened, he added.
“Unfortunately, many people in Russia still don't like wearing a mask. This is wrong to say that infection control measures are flawless. I reproached myself for carelessness”, - wrote Maetani.
However, on the fourth day, the cough and runny nose were almost gone, the temperature was normal. The oxygen level in the blood was normal, no abnormalities were found when listening to the lungs. After 2 weeks, the test was negative.
Maetani stressed that thanks to vaccination, the disease was mild.
