OREANDA-NEWS By the end of 2022, the cost of equipment has increased by 40%. Judging by the presentation, the equipment is mainly produced in the USA, Japan and the EU. Among the brands listed, in particular, German ASM and REHM, Japanese Omron. The equipment is used by such Russian manufacturers of printed circuit boards as GC "Erikon", "Promelectronics", JSC "Kompel", LLC "MicroEm Technologies" and others.
According to an interlocutor of Kommersant in one of the companies, 90% of Russian production costs equipment from "unfriendly" countries: "If earlier the cost of the production line of electronic circuit boards averaged about 30 million rubles, now it is already 50 million rubles."
An increase in the price of equipment will lead to an increase in the cost of components manufactured in Russia and, accordingly, final products (laptops, computers, etc.), says Arkady Gylov, commercial director of the equipment supplier Global Microelectronics.
The top manager adds that Russian manufacturers "are looking closely at Chinese analogues, but the level of distrust remains high: the quality of equipment is worse than European." A scenario is also likely in which the number of customers of Russian contract electronics manufacturers will decrease, adds the interlocutor of Kommersant in the industry: "They will prefer the production of equipment at factories in countries loyal to the Russian Federation."
In 2022, in addition to Russian microelectronics developers, its manufacturers were also sanctioned by the United States. For example, in September, the SDN list included Aquarius Group and Core Fab Dubna LLC, a structure of Yadro Group, operates a plant where the company plans to launch the production of domestic communication base stations
