OREANDA-NEWS  It is noted that the size of the exploded star was a hundred times larger than the size of the Sun. One of the project participants, Patrick Armstrong, said that previously it was not possible to capture the flash since it is very difficult for telescopes to record the transience of the explosions. Accordingly, the data that scientists have so far were incomplete and concerned only the consequences of the death of a star. 

In the future, scientists plan to use the new information to identify other supernovae. 

An explosion of a supernova is a phenomenon in which a star sharply increases in brightness which is accompanied by a significant release of energy.
